Overnighters

Free Rein is conveniently located close to both interstates 80 and 380, between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids.  If you’re just passing through or in the area for a clinic or a show, consider boarding your horse with us for the time you’re in the area.  Our stalls are roomy enough to house even large draft horses.  We are close to many types of accommodations for the humans in the group as well.  See below for links to maps and contact information for various hotels, motels and restaurants.

Many of the accommodations and restaurants are on the same road: 1st Avenue, in Coralville.  These accommodations include: Super 8, Marriott, Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn.  Restaurants include: Arbys, McDonalds, KFC, Cancun Mexican, Perkins and Burger King.

 

Click here for a link to a Google map showing directions to 1st Avenue from Free Rein North Barn.  Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn are just before you cross Interstate 80, the rest are after the interstate along 1st Ave.

This option is $25 per day.  If you choose this option, Free Rein will provide the stall and shavings.  We will clean your stall, feed the hay and grain you’ve provided twice per day and bring in from or turn out to the paddocks (as available).  Your horse will be provided with a box fan in the summer and a heated water bucket in the winter.
